It mostly consists of preliminary drawings, concept artworks and maps and everything looks freaking amazing. The chapters are quite straightforward in terms of organization and we start right away with a quick foreword pictured above, directly followed by 42 pages about the world of Dishonored 2, its landscapes, cities, interiors. It’s not the first “The Art of…” from Dark Horse that I review and I know these are usually pretty good large and solid books, well illustrated and described. It really transported me in another world with the first game being half realistic and half… I don’t know, painterly? It’s undeniable that what makes this franchise stand out is its unique art direction. The Dishonored franchise is yet another proof that here in France, we can make good video games! I loved the first game and its addons and the few things I saw about Dishonored 2 made me want to play it (maybe one day I will). But still, I have love for this Tumblr so even if I’m less active than I once was, I will keep publishing stuff (at least some scans here and there and the occasional review like today). Once upon a time, I wrote several reviews each month… a bygone era. Yeah yeah, it’s been a long while since I published something actually related to the title of this blog. Well, well, well, what do we have here? An artbook review? That’s not possible!
